NEW YORK, October 9, 2006 — COMEDY CENTRAL is hitting the streets with three all new comedy CDs: “Greg Giraldo: Good Day to Cross the River;” “Christian Finnegan: Two For Flinching” and “The Amazing Adventures of Pleaseeasaur” CD/DVD. All three CDs will be available in stores nationwide and on shop.comedycentral.com on Tuesday, October 24 via COMEDY CENTRAL Records.
Greg Giraldo’s “Good Day to Cross a River” is loaded with nearly an hour of side-splitting laughs. In his first-ever CD release, the talented comedian showcases his politically incorrect opinion on subjects like Wal-Mart, gay marriage and getting old.
Giraldo was praised in The New York Times as “a talented comedian with a winning personality” and was featured in Variety magazine’s “Ten to Watch” edition (2002). He headlines clubs across the country and has become one of the most versatile and highly entertaining comics working today.
Christian Finnegan’s first collection of live stand-up, “Two For Flinching” features 14 tracks of Finnegan’s hilariously sarcastic humor. Recorded at Washington D.C.’s “DC Improv,” Finnegan’s album characterizes the random daily experiences he gaily refers to as “half-assed stand-up comedy” and also includes enough “Finny Bits” to satisfy his faithful fans.
Finnegan is a stand-up comedian, writer and actor who is widely recognized as a panelist on VH1’s hit series “Best Week Ever” and as host of TV Land’s interstitial game show “Game Time.” Other credits include his own half-hour special “COMEDY CENTRAL Presents: Christian Finnegan,” “The Late, Late Show with Craig Ferguson” and regular appearances on NBC’s “Today Show.” In addition to his television appearances, he contributed his wittiness as a writer for “Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn” and was a frequent contributor to “Jest Magazine.”
In the CD/DVD “The Amazing Adventures of Pleaseeasaur,” creators JP Hasson and Thomas Hurley III gang up with their animated alter egos to embark on very original misguided adventures. A not-so-stealthy diamond heist and an unconventional pizza delivery are just two of many outlandish but entertaining encounters the main character, Pleaseeasaur, and his pals run into. The CD contains Pleaseeasaur’s biggest hit songs and the DVD is an hour-long animated feature complete with live action music videos.
Veterans of concentrated and concerted touring efforts, Pleaseeasaur has amazed and alienated massive audiences across the globe.
