NEW YORK, September 14, 2009 — Former President Bill Clinton will make his fifth appearance as a guest on “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart” to discuss the Clinton Global Initiative on Thursday, September 17 at 11:00 p.m. (ET/PT). President Clinton previously appeared as a guest on the show on September 23, 2008, September 20, 2007, September 18, 2006 and August 9, 2004.
Each episode of “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart” repeats at 1:30 a.m. the same night and at 9:00 a.m., 1:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. the following day (all times ET/PT). The September 17 interview will be posted for viewing the following day at www.thedailyshow.com with URL links and embed codes.
Political figures who have appeared on “The Daily Show” include Democratic Presidential nominee Barack Obama (October 2008), former President Jimmy Carter, former Vice President Al Gore, former Senators Joe Biden, Hillary Clinton, Senators John McCain, John Kerry and Ted Kennedy, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, Speaker of the House Representative Nancy Pelosi and Senator John Edwards, who announced his intention to run for the 2004 Democratic Presidential nomination during an appearance on the show on September 15, 2003. In addition, General Pervez Musharraf, President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, was Stewart’s guest on September 26, 2006, marking the first time a sitting head of state had appeared on the show.
