NEW YORK, December 7, 2009 — COMEDY CENTRAL’s got a crush on a comedienne who’s hot AND funny! Filmed on location at the Verizon Wireless Theater in Houston, Texas, the World Television Premiere of “Anjelah Johnson: That’s How We Do It” debuts Monday, December 28 at 11:00 p.m.

In Anjelah Johnson’s hour-long special, she reminisces about sneaking into night clubs at 14, never getting past the white belt in Karate and killing people with kindness. Watch her celebrate the important things in life – like Raiders football and cheerleading, melting makeup, technology and gossiping in church. With a surprising, spectacular featured dance routine alongside “The Beat Freaks” from MTV’s “America’s Best Dance Crew,” don’t miss the World Television Premiere of her special, debuting Monday, December 28 at 11:00 p.m.

Born and raised in San Jose, California, Johnson is of Mexican and Native American descent. JShe was a professional cheerleader for the Oakland Raiders, where she was named Rookie of the Year. Her portrayal of “Tammy the Nail Salon Lady” is a wildly popular internet video smash hit. Later, she appeared on “MADtv” as a series regular (which spawned her second Web mega-hit, the fierce and fiery “Bon Qui Qui”), and she has performed on COMEDY CENTRAL’s own “Live at Gotham.” Fans will be seeing much more of Anjelah in the coming months as she is co-starring in the upcoming film releases, “Alvin and the Chipmunks 2: The Squeakquel,” “Marmaduke” and “Our Family Wedding,” with America Ferrara and Forest Whitaker.
