NEW YORK, March 5, 2013 – Trevor Moore’s CD and digital album, “Drunk Texts to Myself,” will be released on COMEDY CENTRAL Records on Tuesday, March 26. On his debut album, Moore (head writer and performer on the IFC show “The Whitest Kids U’Know”) uses his signature comedic stylings to explain the perils of child pop stardom and uncover the pope’s money-making potential. Utilizing genres from rap to metal and country to dub-step, Moore proves that the founding fathers were on drugs and laments the language barriers of being a bear.
Conventional wisdom may consider Tom Hanks the nicest guy in Hollywood, but Moore brings new evidence to the conversation in his expose “Tom Hanks Is An Asshole.” Other tracks include “Time for Guillotines,” “What About Mouthwash” and the title track “Drunk Texts to Myself” featuring Reggie Watts.
The deluxe digital version includes two music videos, “The Pope Rap (Modern Day Profit)” and “Founding Fathers Rap.”
Comedian, actor, musician, writer, director and producer Moore is a founding member and leader of the sketch comedy group, “The Whitest Kids U’Know.” He is currently on tour in the US with the group (after a sold-out nationwide tour in 2012) and their self-titled comedy show ran for five seasons on IFC. The group’s videos have over 100 million views on YouTube and the group recently completed their first film, “The Civil War on Drugs,” which Moore co-wrote and co-directed.
Moore is a regular correspondent on “The Tonight Show.” He also co-directed, co-wrote and starred in the Fox Searchlight film “Miss March,” appeared with Christian Slater in the Fox TV series “Breaking In,” and recently shot a pilot for TruTV with Fax Bahr and Adam Small.
