• #1 Brand in Comedy Finishes Quarter as Top 3 Network in Prime among Men 18-24 across all of TV

NEW YORK, October 2, 2013 – Boosted by a slate of new original series and returning powerhouses, Comedy Central exhibited strong year-over-year growth for 3Q 2013, posting gains across all its key demographics, including double-digit surges among the hard-to-reach young male demos. With a 1.0 Male 18-24 rating (up +24% vs. 3Q 2012) the #1 brand in comedy finished the 3rd Quarter as a Top 3 network in Prime across all of television in the demo.

Comedy Central’s 3Q 2013 ratings were powered across the summer months by new series like “Inside Amy Schumer,” “Drunk History” and “The Jeselnik Offensive,” along with the final season of “Futurama,” and in September with the strong returns of “South Park,” “Tosh.0,” “Key & Peele” and “Brickleberry.” Driven by its September launches, Comedy Central finished the hyper-competitive month of broadcast premieres and cable finales as a Top 3 network in all of television among the elusive Men 18-24 demographic (NBC, ESPN) and was the #4 network in all of television among Men 18-34 (NBC, ESPN, FOX).

Comedy Central is poised to ride the momentum of its strong quarter and September with new episodes of “South Park,” “Tosh.0,” “Key & Peele” and “Brickleberry” airing through December and the series premiere of “@Midnight,” a new, late-night series hosted by Chris Hardwick that will air Monday-Thursday after “The Colbert Report,” and “Adam Devine’s House Party,” a new, weekly stand-up series hosted by Devine, one of the creators and stars of “Workaholics.”
