Unburdened by objectivity or even accuracy, “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart” will combine forces with Stephen Colbert and “The Colbert Report” for a special COMEDY CENTRAL joint presentation with a one-hour, live election night special featuring up-to-the-minute results of the day’s races from across the country. “‘Indecision 2006’: The Midterm Midtacular” premieres Tuesday, November 7 at 11:00 p.m. ET (tape delayed on West Coast).
With the balance of power in both the Senate and the House up for grabs and many key gubernatorial seats in play, the nation (not to mention “The Nation”) has turned its focus to politics, and COMEDY CENTRAL has all the answers. This special “Indecision 2006” presentation of “The Daily Show” and “The Colbert Report” will feature the humor, satire and sharp commentary that have made the two shows mandatory viewing for political junkies and novices alike.
“‘Indecision 2006’: The Midterm Midtacular” is sponsored by Acura and will repeat immediately following the conclusion of the live show at 12:00 a.m. and 1:00 a.m., as well as the next day at 8:00 a.m., 2:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.
Jon Stewart and Ben Karlin are the executive producers of “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart” with Kahane Corn and Dan Sterling serving as co-executive producers. The series’ head writer is David Javerbaum who is also supervising producer. Chuck O’Neil is the director.
