NEW YORK, October 31, 2011 – Fans of Pete Holmes have something “wonderful” to look forward to – COMEDY CENTRAL Records releases Holmes debut digital album, “Impregnated with Wonder” on Tuesday, November 15.
With his debut album, recorded live at Punch Line San Francisco, Holmes establishes himself as a leading voice in comedy – one with hints of classic greats like Steve Martin. In this hilarious set, he explains why Facebook might have been invented by the government, why he deserves the title “Fun Dad” even though he doesn’t have children and why wonderment is in grave, grave danger.
Holmes was named one of Variety’s Top Ten Comics to Watch in 2011 and but is probably best know for his half-hour “COMEDY CENTRAL Presents” and his appearances on “Conan,” “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” and on VH1. He is also the voice of the E*Trade baby (yes, that E*Trade baby) and the voice of the lead character on the animated hit “Ugly Americans.” Holmes also draws cartoons for The New Yorker, wrote for NBC’s “Outsourced” and currently writes for FOX’s “I Hate My Teenage Daughter.” He is a regular on CollegeHumor.com and makes videos with FrontPage Films.
Previously released recordings by COMEDY CENTRAL Records include: Patton Oswalt’s “Finest Hour,” Lewis Black’s “The Prophet,” “Louis C.K. Hilarious,” Dane Cook’s “Greatest Hits,” Bo Burnham’s “WORDS, WORDS, WORDS,” Mitch Hedberg’s “Do You Believe in Gosh,” Dane Cook’s platinum-selling “Harmful If Swallowed” and double-platinum “Retaliation,” Grammy® Award-winning “Lewis Black: The Carnegie Hall Performance,” among others.
