NEW YORK, June 27, 2012 – Todd Barry brings his signature deadpan delivery and observational style back to COMEDY CENTRAL in the world premiere of his original one-hour stand-up special, “Todd Barry: Super Crazy,” premiering on Saturday, July 21 at 11:00 p.m. ET/PT.

In his first hour-long special, before a live audience at the Gramercy Theatre in New York, Barry reflects on his history as a germaphobe, gives important travel tips, and explains what you’re really paying for when you order spaghetti at a restaurant.

The “Todd Barry: Super Crazy” extended and uncensored DVD, featuring over 15 minutes of material not seen in the broadcast, will be released on July 24 by COMEDY CENTRAL Home Entertainment. The bonus features include Barry’s uncut full performance from “The New York Friars Club Roast of Chevy Chase,” and Barry on “Giggles, Wiggles and Giggles with Gordy.”

Also on July 24, COMEDY CENTRAL Records will release the extended and uncensored “Todd Barry: Super Crazy” CD and digital album. The special also will be available on July 24 in HD exclusively on Xbox LIVE and Sony PlayStation Network, and in SD on iTunes and Samsung Media Hub. Pre-order will be available on iTunes on July 9.

Leading up to the on-air premiere, the COMEDY CENTRAL Stand-Up Web site will feature preview clips from the special as well as several exclusive clips from the DVD.

Barry is widely recognized for his roles as the bongo-playing “Third Conchord” on HBO’s “Flight of the Conchords” and Mickey Rourke’s deli boss in 2009 Oscar® winner “The Wrestler,” and has made multiple stand-up appearances on “The Late Show with David Letterman,” “Late Night with Conan O’Brien,” “Jimmy Kimmel Live!,” and two “COMEDY CENTRAL Presents” specials. His resume also includes such hit TV shows as “Louie,” “Delocated,” “Bored to Death,” “Tim and Eric,” “Chappelle’s Show,” “Sex and the City,” and “Sesame Street.” Among Barry’s feature-film highlights are David Wain’s “Wanderlust,” Todd Phillips’s “Road Trip,” Louis C.K.’s “Pootie Tang,” and Mitch Hedberg’s “Los Enchiladas.” He will soon appear as Sigourney Weaver’s right-hand-man in Amy Heckerling’s “Vamps.” Internationally, Barry has performed at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Montreal’s Just For Laughs Festival, the Vancouver International Comedy Festival, and Kilkenny, Ireland’s Cat Laughs Festival.

Barry has been heard on both “The Howard Stern Show” and “The Bob & Tom Show,” and his albums “Medium Energy,” “Falling Off the Bone,” and “From Heaven” are available on COMEDY CENTRAL Records. He has earned the U.S. Comedy Arts Festival’s Jury Award, praise from Ricky Gervais as one of the best comedians of 2009, and accolades from The Onion’s A.V. Club, which declared “Medium Energy” one of the best comedy albums of the decade.

“Todd Barry: Super Crazy” is executive produced by Barry, John Irwin, and Dave Becky, and directed by Michael Dimich. Anne Harris is the Executive in Charge of Production for COMEDY CENTRAL.
